Back from outer space: Birth of the Retro-Blog
The Retro-Blog: Looking back at the development of a successful creative project in 2006 and the lessons learned along the way.
I know I’ve been gone too long…but I’m finally back to my blog. Still feel confused about what to blog here and what to reserve for my space on CCS but I have decided to ease the dilemma by doing something I have had on my list for a while: A sort of ‘retro-blog’ about a particular creative period I experienced a couple of years back in my pre-blogging but very-much-journalling history when I produced a series of seven very small – but perfectly formed;-) – collages which I call the Tree Series.
I’m hoping that by revising the process that went into creating this series – from the very first stage when I saw the trees and took the photos until the construction of the Tree Book – I will better understand the concept of ‘trusting the process’ in art-making and perhaps be able to identify stages in it which can act as a guide in future work both for me and my fellow travellers. So watch this space…
